The above picture was taken in 1962. We all grew up together in the small town of Austell GA & this was our mode of transportation & communication. We lived on our horses. We always called our childhood a Huckleberry Finn Childhood as that is how we lived. Outdoors...wide open. We all went in different directions, living life, having families, etc., & have recently made the effort to try to get back together from time to time,

We spent a rainy, wet weekend in Elijay, GA. Since this is the year of our "60th" birthday celebration, thought it would be neat to take a ride & get an updated picture in our same formation. I had the number of Ft. Mountain Stables, Chris answered the phone, & said he would be glad to take us out, but I could tell from his voice, that he wanted to say "do you know what you’re getting yourself into". The weather was nasty! Chris soon found out that we, indeed, knew what we were getting into & didn't even care. When I showed them our picture from 1962, I could tell they understood that it wasn't totally about riding a horse! I'll have to say that Chris & Meghan are two of the nicest people. We saddled up on some nice horses, & went for a beautiful ride...rain & all. When we got back, Meghan was the first to meet us at the trail head to get our picture. Chris & Meghan, thanks for making it possible for us to make another great memory.

Thank you again for a great time on Saturday. Mandi and I enjoyed hanging out at your barn and meeting all the sweet horses. The ride was fun, the trails are beautiful and the trail guide was really nice. We really enjoyed it, and will return some time to ride again! Thanks for letting me ride Kid, he is such a sweet boy!
